Billing & Pricing
Clear information to help you understand healthcare costs.
Coral West Community Hospital is committed to providing meaningful, transparent information about the financial aspects of care. We want you to focus on what matters most—your health—while having access to the information you need to understand potential costs.
This page provides general information about pricing, billing, and your rights as a patient.

Understanding Hospital Charges
Hospital charges can vary based on many factors, including:
-
The services provided
-
Your medical condition and care needs
-
Insurance coverage (if applicable)
-
Eligibility for financial assistance
The amount you owe may be higher or lower than an estimate, depending on the actual services provided during your care.
Pricing Transparency
In compliance with Florida Statute §395.301 and federal regulations, Coral West Community Hospital provides access to pricing information for hospital services.
Available pricing information may include:
-
Gross charges
-
Discounted self-pay (cash) prices
-
Negotiated payer rates
A federally required, machine-readable file containing standard charges for all items and services is also available.
Cost Estimates & Planning Ahead
If you are scheduling a procedure or exam, you may request an estimate of hospital charges in advance.
Estimates:
-
Are non-personalized and based on expected services
-
Apply only to hospital services
-
May not include professional fees billed separately by physicians
For a real-time estimate or help understanding potential costs, patients may contact a patient advocate.

Professional Fees & Separate Billing
Some services provided during your hospital stay may be billed separately.
These may include:
-
Physician or specialist services
-
Anesthesia
-
Radiology or pathology services
These providers may not be employed by the hospital and may bill independently. Patients are encouraged to contact their providers directly with questions about professional fees.
No Surprises Act & Your Rights
Federal law protects patients from certain unexpected medical bills.
Under the No Surprises Act:
-
You are protected from balance billing in many emergency and non-emergency situations
-
You generally will not be charged more than in-network cost-sharing amounts
-
Certain out-of-network charges are prohibited
If you are uninsured or choose not to use insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before care is provided.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
You may request a written Good Faith Estimate:
-
When scheduling care
-
Or at any time upon request
A Good Faith Estimate:
-
Is not a bill
-
Lists expected charges based on known information
-
May not include unexpected or additional services
If you are billed $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill.
Financial Assistance & Payment Options
If you are uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing financial hardship, help may be available.
Options may include:
-
Financial assistance or charity care
-
Reduced charges
-
Payment plans
